Student Development Leaders
Impact Investment Exchange (IIX) Asia is a social enterprise based in Singapore, founded by a former investment banker who turned into a social entrepreneur in order to use his banking knowledge to provide growth capital for companies with social and environmental missions. IIX Asia provides social enterprises in Asia with greater access to capital, allowing them to more rapidly expand the impact of their activities. Its affiliated entity, Impact Investment Shujog, helps social enterprises raise growth capital by showcasing and highlighting their social impact.
The Student Initiative has partnered IIX Asia and Shujog to publicise its internship opportunities for various roles:
IIX Asia
1. Investor and Impact Partners Outreach: direct engagement with investors, high net worth individuals & banks; assess/prepare social partners for Impact Partners listing. Competency in Finance required.
2. Financial Product Development: support the development of new products, services & initiatives
3. Ecosystem Development: strategically outreach and build a local & regional network of ecosystem partners to support long-term sustainability of social enteprises
4. Public Platform Development: conduct research & support analysis to continue the development of IIX's Public Platform
** for all roles: previous finance and/or consulting work experience will be ideal; or legal/research background will also be helpful.
IIX Shujog
1. Marketing and Communications: build strategic messaging and initiatives to promote impact investing and social entrepreneurship in Asia
2. Social Enterprise and Sector Reseach: research & analysis of social enterprise in Asia
3. Product Development: Create and execute products & services (Impact Academy, Impact Assessments, Impact Chats etc.)
** for all roles: previous marketing, development or research work highly preferred; Strong writing skills required.
All internships will be for a minimum of 3 months, based in Singapore. The timing of the internship is flexible. The Student Initiative will provide logistic and/or financial support for successful interns of up to GBP 500. Please read the attachment for more details.
